The CRSP funding process will not be used after 1 July 2007 - the new funding process for 2007/08 is through the National Land Transport Programme.

Road Safety 2007, Melbourne 17 – 19 October,
call for papers extended to 31 May
The Australasian Road Safety Research, Policing and Education Conference will be held at the Crown Promenade in Melbourne 17-19 October. The theme this year is ‘The Way Ahead', focusing on the application of road safety research at practical and local levels into the future.

Walking school bus resource kits
Getting more Kiwi kids safely walking to and from school will be easier than ever with the launch of a new ‘one-stop shop’ Walking School Bus resource kit by Land Transport NZ.
The kit, launched on 2 May at Wellington’s Ridgway School by Transport Minister Annette King, is available free from Land Transport New Zealand. It contains everything parents and caregivers, teachers and others need to help get a walking school bus underway, including tips and guidelines, brochures and posters, stickers and certificates for kids.

2007/08 CRSP funding process
The Community Focused Land Transport Activities Funding Process 2007/08 Handbook 2 is now available. This Handbook provides information to assist approved organisations complete their final LTP online submission for funding for community focused activities. The CRSP funding process will not be used after 1 July 2007.

Feet First Walk to School Week results and photos
More than 62,000 children from 170 New Zealand schools geared up to head to class ‘feet first’.
Feet First Walk to School Week (March 5-9 2007) boosted the number of children walking to and from school by promoting the benefits of making the trip on foot.

Licence renewal changes affect older drivers
The way older New Zealanders renew their driver licence changed on 4 December 2006.
A targeted print advertising campaign aimed at raising awareness of the changes ran leading up to the changeover date. A range of new resources has been developed to support the changes for older driving licensing.
