Child Restraints & Safety Belts

Overview

Although front and rear safety belt wearing is compulsory, the safety belt wearing rate in 2002 varied between 87-96% for front and 67-88% for rear.

Similarly, child restraints are compulsory for children 5 years and under. In addition to wearing rates, the concern for child restraints includes the standard and correct fitting of the seat, plus the correct seat for the age and size of the child.
